INTRODUCTION

The Barka Res & PS Compound counts with several reservoirs connected to the existing PS by suction pipe network. The Complex is going to be enlarged with the installation of the New Barka Pumping Station, which will receive water from these reservoirs by a connection of a new pipe. Due to its expansion, the existing suction pipelines have to be upgraded by adding or removing some of current pipes. Therefore, the new hydraulic system as well as the two pump houses have to satisfy the steady state hydraulic requirements to ensure the suitable operation in the different load scenarios.
